CranioSacral Therapy

What is CranioSacral Therapy?

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) uses a gentle, light-touch to explore the membranes and movement of fluids in and around the craniosacral system.

The focus of CST is to aide in the release of tension in the central nervous system and the body’s connective tissue, or “fascia.” Fascia is a covering found throughout the body including organs, glands, nerves, muscles, blood vessels, brain and spinal cord.  CST is a complementary treatment that releases tensions deep in the body to help reduce pain, relieve dysfunction, and improve whole-body health and performance which promotes the body’s natural and innate healing processes.

CST uses a light touch to examine membranes and movement of fluids in and around the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by
eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity.

What to expect in a CranioSacral treatment?

Fully clothed the client lays on the massage table. Using gentle pressure techniques the therapist tunes into the client’s subtle body rhythm and assess areas of tension or restrictions in the. The therapist is then guided by the client’s own physiology to relieve strain patterns in the craniosacral system and promote natural healing.

The therapist will use your energy to release tension and restrictions deep in the body relieving pain and dysfunction. This will allow the body to relax and self-correct improving whole-body health and performance.
